Max Rollitt’s Hampshire farm cottage
We love Max’s delightful cottage with it’s mixture of heavenly antiques and creative exuberance.
In a past interview with Remodellista, Rollitt described his love and affection for the Weasley’s fictional Harry Potter home, and his desire to emulate its qualities in his. He goes on to say that home is about welcoming people and making them feel comfortable, and we certainly get this feel from when taking a glimpse at his warm farmhouse interiors.
What his home lacks in scale, it more than makes up for in atmosphere. Rollitt’s creativity and flare for design clearly rubbed off on his children – it’s no real wonder that three of his four sons have gone on to become artists! What makes Rollitt’s interiors so personal and special, is his emphasis of the importance of collecting, remembering where, when and how pieces were found, the joy of discovery.
Carlos Garcia’s playful reinvention of Baconsthorpe Manor
Baconsthorpe Manor is situated in the heart of Norfolk’s rich landscape. As an early 18th century house, it originates back to the 16th century with a much older central core. The present owners challenged Carlos Garcia Interiors to create strikingly timeless and contemporary interiors, infused with a flair of colour, creativity, and all whilst entirely respecting the house and its rich depth of history. The house boasts a soft and calm infusing choice of colour palette, enhanced by an abundance of natural light and materials such as wood, flagstone and hessian.
Jeremy Langmead’s pastel fantasy in Suffolk
Decorated by Susan Deliss, the Suffolk home of Jeremy Langmead strikes the right balance of grandeur, with intimacy and comfort. Its inviting interiors are matched with soft furnishings, texture, and uplifting colours.
We adore the powder blue paint used in the hallway!
Arts and Crafts interior in Hampshire
The Arts and Crafts interior is all about introducing craftsmanship and human touch to a space.
Originally built in 1912, this Hampshire house has survived with all of its original features remarkably intact, enhanced by its recent redecoration by interior design Tasmin Saunders. Special attention should go to the delicate plasterwork on the ceiling of the Living room (pictured)
A Tudor delight in Kent
Last but not least, nestled in the heart of the Kentish countryside, Wealden Hall is a remarkable Tudor house that was recently brought back to life by a dedicated team of designers.
Inside the ingenuity of English 16th century craftsmen is clear to see with renaissance inspired rounded doorcases (pictured) and embellished chimney surrounds.
